About Us

Who we are

The University of Queensland Football Society is a newly founded society with the aim of bringing together lovers of football and promoting it within the community. Football is a brilliant sport that provides numerous benefits from playing, such as fitness, socialising, and relief from stress.

Our community is constantly growing, as with our presence on campus. We’d love for you to join us as a member, and come along to one of our events or matches. Never played football? No problem. Bring a couple of friends and pick up a new hobby together. It’s a great opportunity to try something new, meet people, and destress from your university assignments.

How we work

UQF upholds the aim of furthering education through sport by providing university students - the world's next generation of thinkers and innovators - an outlet for physical exercise and social interaction that is invaluable for their mental and physical health.

The society is a registered Australian incorporated association and not for profit entity. It is governed by its Constitution, our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and the UQ Union Code of Conduct. The society is run by an executive team annually elected in October at our AGM.

Everyone should enjoy being on the pitch. What makes us unique, and what makes our teams shine the brightest is our passion for diversity. Our inclusion policy helps us cater to the vast student body at UQ, as we strive to promote a safe environment for all.
